DAY 1: Macapa. Arrival in Macapa and transfer from the airport to the hotel. In the afternoon, departure for a walk in the Fortress of Sao Jose, one of the initial landmarks of the city, and the “Middle of the World Monument”. Free time. *Meals are not included this day.

DAY 2: Macapa / APA da Fazendinha / Macapa. CBreakfast and departure at 8:30 am to visit Fazendinha Environmental Protection Area (APA), that is a State Conservation Unit, where we will take a trail in the lowland forest to a small and beautiful freshwater beach on the banks of the Amazon River. The trail will be conducted by an experienced park ranger, a resident of the community. Free time to swim and contemplate nature. Return to the starting point of the track. Lunch (not included) at Fazendinha beach. Return to hotel and free time. Dinner (not included).

DAY 3: Macapa / Curiau quilombola community / Macapa. Breakfast and departure from the hotel at 08:30 a.m. Transfer (40 minutes) to the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Curiaa, a State Conservation Unit. Experience with the traditional quilombola community of Curiau, visit to the property of local residents to dialogue and to know more about the daily life of the families. Marabaixo presentation: a traditional music and dance of African origin, performed by the black communities of Amapa state. The marabaixo is marked by dances of wheel pulled by the beat of drums called “marabaixo boxs”. Lunch (not included) and rest and leisure time on the edge of the Curiau stream. Return to Macapa. At 4:00 p.m., we will visit Sacaca Museum, a space for living stories that promote museological research, preservation and communication of our cultural heritage. Return to the hotel. Dinner (not included).

DAY 4: Departure Macapa. Breakfast and check-out from the hotel in the morning. Transfer to the airport for departure.
